A Complete Line of Environmentally Friendly Nano-Technology Surface treatments |
|
The Basic Science behind mPact mPact Antimicrobial Coatings are not chemically reactive, but
instead make use of a molecular “spear” that destroys bacteria, viruses,
molds, and allergens, as well as the odors that they cause. They can be used to provide sanitation and
protection on almost any surface.
The silane base of the molecular spear is an extremely strong
bonding agent that permanently (“glues”) the spear to a target surface. The
overall process modifies surface properties of materials and transforms them to
a material that will not support microbial growth.
The cell membrane of microbes are attracted to the treated
surface and punctured by the molecular spear, physically rupturing them.
Thereby mPale is not consumed by the organism and stands ready to fight
again. $15 M was invested in the research behind mPact, and it is very
well tested, with 30 years of history that started at Dow Chemical.
